Debate at CMS Finance Week 2025 on decentralized infrastructure, community and consensus in alternative finance, with Token City and Aticco Lab.

Decentralized infrastructure at CMS Finance Week

Pablo Gómez, CEO of Metlabs, takes part in a roundtable at CMS Finance Week 2025 in Madrid with Yael H. Oaknín, CEO of Token City, and digital asset specialist Yeray Martín. Quino Fernández, CEO of Aticco Lab, moderates the session. The announcement places it on 19 November, from 16:30 to 17:00, within the program organized by CMS People.

The session’s announced subject is decentralized infrastructure, community and consensus in alternative finance. It connects changes in the traditional financial system with the development of alternative models. The participants bring perspectives from blockchain development, digital assets and business development to a discussion of the infrastructure behind financial services.

Community, shared records and consensus

In this subject, infrastructure means more than the interface of a financial application. It includes the records participants use, the permissions governing access and the processes for agreeing on transactions. Decentralization concerns how those responsibilities are distributed. A shared record can involve different organizations, but the record’s design alone does not determine all their commercial relationships.

Community and consensus describe different parts of that coordination. Community identifies the people and organizations involved; consensus concerns how a system agrees on shared records or decisions. Considering them together clarifies the connection between a technical network and the financial activity it supports. The roundtable’s title makes that connection its focus within the wider Finance Week program.
